New Delhi, , Oct 21: The State Bank of India (SBI) has successfully settled the Personal Accidental Insurance (PAI) claims of Late Nb Sub Shyam Gurung and Late Rfn Ranjeet Singh Kashyap of 33 Assam Rifles, who sacrificed their lives on September 19, 2025, in Manipur.

The claims, amounting to ₹1.10 crore, were credited to the nominees’ accounts on October 10, 2025, under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SBI and Assam Rifles. The settlement was facilitated through close coordination and persistent follow-ups, ensuring timely financial support to the families of the martyrs.
The successful disbursement reflects SBI’s commitment to stand by the families of soldiers who lay down their lives in service of the nation, reaffirming its role in honoring their courage and sacrifice. The bank’s swift action has provided much-needed relief to the bereaved families, ensuring they receive the entitled benefits without delay.
Officials from Assam Rifles and SBI praised the smooth coordination and emphasized the importance of such mechanisms in supporting the welfare of armed forces personnel and their families.
