Pain Behind Fake Smiles

When I tried delve deep into it, I came across many causes that are responsible for the sorry this sorry state of affairs. First is vague concept of life. We have failed to understand life in its totality. For us, life is a burden to carry and in this process, maintaining fake happiness and bliss are pre-requisites

Behind mechanical and fake smiles, there is a world of ruthless hidden pain. The pain that is tortuous and numbs a person to an unimaginable level. An outside smiles doesn’t mean everything is fine. However, there is smouldering lava, occasionally erupting but many a time, just burning without any flame, only heat and sighs. In the present world, the toxic traditional set-up of ours doesn’t accept the omniscient display of pain. Pain is something which has to be hidden, in whatever way possible. What others think if I express my painful saga in words and cry at the top of my voice, is the most dreadful truth and phobia of the modern times. Relieving myself and trying to find solace far away from the deep abyss of pain is not generally welcomed by all and sundry. Living with pain, embracing and uttering nothing against it are the noble characteristics. However, this is the biggest blunder. Who has enjoined upon us to dwell in persistent pain and helplessly see circumstances devour and decimate us? Wearing a mechanical is not something which we are supposed to follow religiously. God sent us here for a purpose. Happiness and sadness that he made are a part and parcel of this transient life. If we can laugh our heart loudly then why it is incumbent upon us to hide our pains and pretend to be happy. Well, it means for the sake of hypocritical life, we must mislead ourselves and others too. Who will accept this dichotomy of ours?
When I tried delve deep into it, I came across many causes that are responsible for the sorry this sorry state of affairs. First is vague concept of life. We have failed to understand life in its totality. For us, life is a burden to carry and in this process, maintaining fake happiness and bliss are pre-requisites. However, this is totally inaccurate. Life is a journey of ups and downs. Pain is an essential part of this temporary life. Nature fashioned this world with the proportionate mixtures of comfort and pain. Depending on one’s foresightedness and spiritual strength, both pain and comfort are same for the intellectually-developed personality. In this field, we are nowhere found. Second is fake victory. Our conservative society has set some standards of living. Failing to follow them means we are lost. However how on earth it becomes mandatory to follow the whims of those people who are prone to mistakes and are fallible! Where is it written that if a person is unable to achieve this or that, he or she is failed. It is our fault that we fall prey for these non-sense standards. The worldly parameters are to be sifted. Their face value is not be misunderstood for their real place value. Third is expectations. We keep expecting from others and keep hurting ourselves. When hurt, we desist from expressing our pain. We don’t stand up to the world and tell it at the face that I am in pain because I trusted someone blindly While he or she deceived me in a broad daylight. My pain is my belief. I am not going to wear fake smile. Let pain burn me and then like a phoenix, I will rise. However, living in a false world of fakery is a grinding pain for me. Fourth and last is our fault. Can somebody tell me when we have comforted ourselves? Have not we borrowed pain? Are not we merchants of pain? Yes, we are. We have never tried to bid goodbye to pain and start living in the real comfort. We feel happy when in pain. It is utterly nonsense. Though pain is a gift in the long run, why to embrace it unnecessarily. Express pain and be happy. In the same vein, express comfort and be sad. Both don’t make sense. Be in what state you are.
In conclusion, let us start expressing our pain. There are many ways to do it. Through words and confiding in someone, if any, can mitigate our pain. However, if pain is our saviour, let us live with it. If not, let comfort glitter from our face. Let us not bother about others. If pain builds you, welcome it wholeheartedly. In the same vein, if smile raises you, cherish and embrace it. However, don’t be hypocritical. Weep in pain and comfort too. Unburden your soul. Nothing is more important than your satisfaction. I am not talking about happiness, but satisfaction. Let us be satisfied and embrace pain and comfort according to our choices and body languages. Level us vow not be hypocritical. If sadness is your cherished goal, make your pain panacea. Same applies to comfort or bliss. Weep to your fullest while laugh as much as you can. However, don’t wear fake pain and smile. Choose one of them wisely and live a satisfied live. Smile, please my dear readers!
