
The Pakistani national, who was injured on Monday in the BSF firing while he was infiltrating along the International Border in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir has succumbed during the treatment, a BSF spokesman.
A BSF spokesman said today evening, BSF personnel observed a suspicious movement wherein a Pakistani national was observed crossing the international border (IB) in Kathua and approaching aggressively towards the border fence in district Kathua, Jammu.
“He was warned by alert troops but paid no heed. BSF troops sensing a threat fired on him,” he said.
The intruder, he said, was injured in the firing and was captured in injured condition.
“He was evacuated to the nearest hospital, where he later succumbed to injuries,” the spokesman said.
A protest is being lodged with the counterpart, said the spokesman.
