Palapora Eidgah residents complain against MLA

January 06, 2026 | BK News Service

Residents of Palapora Eidgah in Srinagar have filed a formal complaint against sitting MLA Mubarak Gul, accusing him of misusing the Constituency Development Fund and neglecting basic civic infrastructure.

The complaint, submitted to Peer Afaq, District President of the National Conference Srinagar, by Imtiyaz Khan on behalf of local residents, alleges that funds intended for essential development are being spent on non-essential projects, while interior lanes and roads remain in a dilapidated condition.
Locals said the poor state of roads causes daily hardships, particularly for the elderly, children, and patients. Despite repeated requests and representations, no concrete measures have been taken to repair the damaged road network or address long-standing civic issues.
The residents urged the party leadership to intervene and ensure that the MLA prioritizes essential infrastructure works, emphasizing that development should reflect ground realities rather than symbolic projects. They warned that continued neglect could deepen public resentment in the area.
