Panchayat Sagoon (Lions) defeated Sagoon club by 3 wickets to lift Inter Panchayat cum Zonal Level YSS Cup 2021-22 being played at Govt. Boys High School Jammu Cantonment. The open category cricket championship organised by the department of Youth Services & Sports, District Jammu, Zone Gandhi Nagar witnessed three matches (two semifinals and final) on the final day wherein Panchayat Sagoon emerged as champions.
The tournament was organized under the patronage of Director, Youth Services & Sports, J&K UT, Gazanfar Ali, (JKAS) and overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma and ZPEO Gandhi Nagar, Chanderkanta. The matches were officiated by panel of experts of DYSS, District Jammu Jagtar Singh (PET), Mukesh Sharma (PET), Suresh Singh (PET), Ankush Gupta (PET), Umesh Kumar Gupta (REK) and Maheep Slathia (REK) in accordance to the SOP’s mandated by the administration.
Chief Guest on the occasion, Mrs. Chanderkanta ZPEO Gandhi Nagar was all praise for the field staff of Zone Gandhi Nagar for putting sincere efforts and making this event a great success. She also appreciated the participating students and encouraged them to partake in games and sports to maintain their fitness level.
Later, the Chief Guest also presented prizes amongst the winner and runners up teams.
Today results: 1st Semi-Final was played between Sagoon Club vs Panchayat Pounthal, Sagoon Club won by 43 runs.
The 2nd Semi-Final was played between Panchayat Pargalta vs Panchayat Sagoon (Lions), Panchayat Sagoon (Lions) won by 1 run.
The final was played between Sagoon Club vs Panchayat Sagoon (Lions) wherein Sagoon (Lions) won by 3 wickets.
