If there is any purest and happiest stage in human life, that is childhood. The pristine human soul in childhood brimmed with happiness dances in ecstasy and grows in curiosity. A child, in fact, is the budding flower out to bloom and perfume the surrounding. The pure soul of a child knows no bounds in terms of fun and pleasure. It is the dough in being and becoming, making and forming; the new person or personality in formation; a potential plant in a seed, and a father to a man as per Wordsworth. A child is the epitome of innocence and transparency; a fresh dream to be pursued and a new hope to be lived with. Children are the fair pledges of parents blossomed in all seasons.
The tender souls need to be properly cared for, especially by their parents. Life is not static and so no human stage is permanent. Childhood too comes under transition and encroaches adulthood knowingly or unknowingly to develop the sense of responsibility, anxiety, pain and pleasure. During the course of transition children turn highly vulnerable physically, emotionally, psychologically and mentally as well.
It is here the mutual relationship of parents gains more importance and affects the child's formation positively or negatively. Fortunate enough are children whose parents are always on good terms with each other. They are indeed blessed and favored as they grow up in the lap of care and affection. Harmonious relationship between parents provides them ample opportunity to rise high and taste the fruit of success in every respect. Apart from love and care they get the moral, emotional and psychological support and are encouraged well to dream big because the transformation of their dreams into reality is guaranteed.
When parents are well understanding and respectful to each other, they become the perennial source of inspiration for their children. These parents are generous enough to share the feelings, experiences and wisdom and act as torch bearers to lead their young ones towards the utmost bliss. The supportive hands of these contented parents redouble energy in young ones who find themselves to be in seventh heaven and confident enough to chase their goals. The very presence of such noble parents exude the soothing effect to the young ones who are beset with new challenges and tensions. These young ones take energetic flights fuelled with the kind and propelling words of their parents and enjoy the ride towards their cherished dreams.
On the other hand,a large number of other children to whom fate plays the lousy tricks and leaves them destitute because their parents live in constant conflict and are in bitter relationships. These children look as the unwanted things fallen from the above and spewed from the below. They grow disfigured and deformed lacking necessary human traits to live with. The tussle between parents affects the children adversely and renders them of no use and no value. It leaves them bereft of any aim and aspiration. Not to talk of high thinking and lofty ideals, these children are not even destined to see and experience any peaceful and normal day. There are no plans, no designs and no dreams to be pursued because there is no counseling,no guidance on part of their parents to correct them, groom them and enable them in order to attain, accomplish and excel in life. These children are emotionally hit and psychologically harassed and that too by none other than their own parents. The pristine world of their dreams is shattered, their confidence is rinsed and their emotions are buried in their innocent chests.
The good relationship between parents is of paramount importance to ensure future and safeguard the childhood of children. Adults often blame the young ones for their irresponsible behaviour when the fault lies with them. It has been found that the greater number of children become the school dropouts and fall the victim of child labour only because of their parents are not on good terms and in ideal relationship. Ideal relationship between parents paves the way for ideal future of children.
Every single person in the world is unique and each has his/her own personality traits. Personalities are like fingerprints. You will never find two of the exact same kind. Our personalities are a result of the various kinds of experiences we face. It is also a result of our upbringing. Parental influence on personality development of any child is highly significant. It decides the kind of adults we grow into. It is important to ensure that parenting style supports healthy growth and development of the child.
In essence, it is pivotal to maintain a perfect balance between being a friend and a parent. Parents should know how to set their relationships right just because their actions have consequences.
