Nasir Wani, the political advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said the People Democratic Party (PDP) was responsible for the present mess in Jammu and Kashmir that led to the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir.

Wani said this while replying to a question from media persons in old Srinagar in response to PDP's claim that the National Conference has failed to bring about a resolution about the restoration of Article 370.

Wani along with J&K minister Satish Sharma and MLA Tanvir Sadiq had gone to Abi Rainawari where a devastating fire on Tuesday destroyed numerous homes and displaced 26 families.

“Had not the PDP supported BJP in 2014, the Articles 370 and 35A would not have been abrogated. Neither the people would have seen the past ten years of destruction in Jammu and Kashmir,” Wani said.

He said people would never forgive PDP.

“PDP played wrong politics in 2008, 2010 and in 2016 they were defeated. PDP is trying to put the people on the wrong path by creating confusion in their minds”, he said. “PDP has always played destructive politics and is doing so today”.

Nasir said whatever NC promised in the manifesto, it will be fulfilled in reality.

“Hardly the government has completed one month in office which the PDP cannot digest. They are not looking at the destruction they did during their tenure,” he added
