Chairman World Peace Harmony Haji Shakeel Saifi, who is in Kashmir, today visited Baramulla where he was accorded rousing welcome at Dak Bangalow.
Addressing the gathering, he described how Prime Minister Narendra Modi is engaged in upliftment of minority sections of the society, especially Muslims.
“Prime Minister Modi at every step in his political and administrative career has done everything he can for the welfare of the Muslim community. He empowers but without appeasement and tokenism,” Saifi said.
“I can never forget PM Modi’s words at the Islamic Heritage Conference in Delhi where he said that young Muslims should be well-versed with the Holy Quran and the computers.
“His words resonated across the community. PM Modi has also developed a close bond with Muslims likewise as the decision to allow women to proceed on Hajj without maharam has been hailed as a major step towards their empowerment,” Saifi said.
