Pakistan’s so-called “peace deal” with the protesters in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) is nothing but a desperate attempt to buy time, deceive the world, and suppress the truth. For decades, the people of POJK and Gilgit-Baltistan have suffered under Pakistan’s illegal occupation — facing political marginalization, economic exploitation, and total denial of basic human rights.
The Pakistan Army continues to commit gross human rights violations against innocent civilians in POJK, unleashing fear, harassment, torture, and indiscriminate violence on peaceful protesters demanding justice and dignity. These brutal acts expose Pakistan’s hypocrisy and its complete disregard for humanity.
Islamabad has for years looted the region’s natural resources while keeping its people in poverty and silence. Its so-called peace agreements are nothing but another chapter in its deceitful politics — hollow promises meant to maintain illegal control through propaganda and bloodshed.
The anger and resistance of the people in POJK are not the result of external influence; they are born out of Pakistan’s own corruption, injustice, and repressive governance.
As a daughter of Indian Jammu and Kashmir, I stand firmly with my brothers and sisters in POJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. Their tears are our tears, their fight is our fight. POJK is an inseparable part of Indian Jammu and Kashmir, which Pakistan captured through force, bullets, and continuous violations. But we, the people of Indian Jammu and Kashmir, will never remain silent on these atrocities.
We will continue to raise our voices on every international platform until justice is done and POJK reunites with Indian Jammu and Kashmir — in peace, dignity, and freedom.
To the United Nations, global human rights bodies, and the international community:
It is time to hold Pakistan accountable for its decades of oppression, its crimes against innocent civilians, and its illegal occupation of POJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. The people of these regions deserve freedom, not false peace; justice, not empty assurances; dignity, not deception.
Pakistan’s lies cannot silence the truth — the truth that the soul of POJK beats with India, and its people long for justice, freedom, and a future free from Pakistan’s tyranny.
