
Pulwama, July 20: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, J&K Police apprehended a drug peddler in Pulwama and recovered approximately 27 grams of brown sugar-like substance during naka checking.
During naka checking, a police party Police Station Kakapora intercepted & apprehended a suspicious person coming from Oukhoo. The accused was identified as Jasir Ahmad Khanday son of Gh. Mohi-ud-Din Khanday resident of Kakapora. During search, brown sugar-like substance was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and the contraband was seized. Accordingly, FIR No. 58/2026 under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kakapora and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source of the contraband and identify any forward or backward linkages.
