Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Pulwama arrested a drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.

A police party of Police Post Newa during patrolling at Parigam apprehended a suspicious person roaming in the area. During search, heroine like substance weighing 11 grams was recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Solihat Bashir son of Bashir Ahmed Wani resident of Parigam and was subsequently arrested.

Accordingly, a Case FIR No. 33/25 under section 8/20-29 NDPS act stands registered in Police Station Pulwama and investigation has been set into motion.
