In a continued crackdown on the terror ecosystem, Srinagar Police has attached a vehicle belonging to a terrorist associate under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).
The vehicle in question—a motorcycle bearing registration number PB17A-3362 (Chassis No. 379870, Model Year 2007)—was in possession of Fahad Bashir Siddiqui, son of Bashir Ahmed Siddiqui, a resident of Akilmir, Khanyar. Authorities have linked the vehicle to investigations under FIR No. 55/2021, registered at Police Station MR Gunj.
This action was taken under Section 25 of the UAPA, with a police team executing the attachment in accordance with all legal protocols.
In line with standard procedure, notices prohibiting the sale, transfer, or rental of the vehicle have been formally issued.
"Srinagar Police remains committed to acting firmly against those involved in or supporting unlawful and terror-related activities," an official spokesperson stated.
The police emphasized that such operations are part of a broader effort to weaken logistical and financial networks that support terrorism in the region.
