As part of the Police Commemoration Day observance, J&K Police inaugurated a Volleyball Tournament at District Police Lines Sopore to pay tribute to the brave police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Sopore, Shri Iftkhar Talib-JKPS, in the presence of senior police officers and officials of Police District Sopore. The event aimed to honour the sacrifices of martyrs while promoting the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among youth.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Sopore highlighted that the event symbolizes the unity, strength, and resilience of the police force. “This tournament is not just a sporting event — it is a tribute to our martyrs and a reminder that their spirit continues to inspire us to serve with courage and commitment,” he said.
J&K Police reiterated its commitment to encouraging youth participation in sports and constructive activities, fostering a sense of teamwork and fitness while deepening police-public connect.
