Police kickstarts volleyball tournament in Pulwama

Pulwama, Dec 26: As part of its continued efforts to engage youth through sports and positive activities, Police in Pulwama inaugurated a Volleyball Tournament for Boys at Govt High School Lassipora under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025–26.

The tournament features 8 teams from different parts of district Pulwama, showcasing local talent and promoting a healthy sporting culture. The opening fixture between Star Volleyball Club Pulwama and Volleyball Club Achan set an energetic and competitive tone for the tournament.
The inauguration was carried out by the Additional SP Pulwama, who along with other senior police officers interacted with the players and local youth, highlighting the role of sports in building discipline, teamwork, and mutual respect, besides strengthening police–public connection.
J&K Police reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing youth potential and promoting constructive engagement through such initiatives under CAP. The tournament will continue in the coming days and is expected to witness enthusiastic participation and community support.
