On the occasion of Police Commemoration Day, J&K Police today organised a Badminton Championship under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024–25. The event, held at the Indoor Sports Stadium, DPL Bandipora, witnessed enthusiastic participation from young athletes from across the district, who competed in both Singles and Doubles categories, showcasing remarkable skill, talent, and sportsmanship.

The championship was graced by SSP Bandipora Shri. Ajaz Ahamd Zargar-JKPS, who attended as the Chief Guest accompanied by ADC Bandipora Shri. Zafar Hussain Shawl-KAS. In his address, the SSP Bandipora commended the initiative, encouraged the youth to strive for excellence, remain disciplined, and contribute positively to society through hard work and character. The event was also attended by other senior officers of Bandipora Police.
The championship not only promoted healthy competition but also strengthened police-public relations, reinforcing J&K Police’s commitment to youth empowerment and community engagement through sports.
