Police in Ganderbal under Civic Action Programme of J&K Police, organized Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament at Sheikh-ul-Aalam Stadium, Kangan.
The inaugural programme of the tournament was presided by SSP Ganderbal Shri Ragav S, IPS. In his inaugural address, SSP Ganderbal commended all the teams for their participation. He emphasized the importance of sports in improving both the physical and mental well-being while steering youth away from drugs and other negative influences.
A total of eight (08) teams from across the district are participating in the tournament, providing local youth an opportunity to showcase their talent. The event also aims to promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among the participants.
The event was also attended by Addl. SP Ganderbal Shri Parvaiz Ahmad, SDPO Kangan Shri Faraz Hussain, DySP DAR Shri Nazir Ahmad, and other senior officers.
