Police in Sopore under Civic Action Program inaugurated Volleyball tournament at DPL Sopore in which 08 Volleyball Teams/Clubs belonging to different areas of the Police District will participate.
The tournament witnessed huge response of district players & many volleyball teams of the police district desired to participate in the tournament, but finally 08 teams were shortlisted. The selected playing teams whole heartedly thanked Sopore Police for organising the event.
During the inaugural address, DySP DAR Sopore Dr. Hilal Ahmad Hilal-JKPS appreciated & wished good luck to both the teams for playing the inauguration match of the tournament. He also stressed upon the young & budding players to allow their minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of sports. Further, he asked the players to show good sportsmanship, discipline as well as good behaviour towards each other.
The inaugural match was played between Sangrama Volleyball Club and DPL Sopore which was won by Sangrama Volleyball Club. Kamran Ahmad of Sangrama Vollyball Club was declared man of the match and the second match was played between Game Challengers Seelo and Spiker Punch Seer which was won by Spiker Punch Seer in which Yawar Mir of Spiker Punch Seer was declared Man of the Match for outstanding performance.The main aim & motive of organising such events is to develop
