Awantipora, Sep 10: Police in Awantipora organized two T20 Knockout Cricket Tournaments at Khrew and District Police Lines Awantipora under the Civic Action Programme 2026-27 in which teams from Police District Awantipora participated.
The tournaments were inaugurated by SSP Awantipora, providing local youth an opportunity to participate in sports and showcase their talent.
The tournament at Khrew concluded with Khrew B Team emerging as the Winner, while Khrew A Team secured the Runner-up position.
Similarly, the tournament at DPL Awantipora concluded with Monghama 11 Team emerging as the Winner, while Crescent 11 Tral Team secured the Runner-up position.
The winning and runner-up teams were felicitated with trophies, mementos and sports kits, while refreshments were also provided to the participating players. The tournaments promoted sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and positive engagement among youth, while providing them with a constructive platform to showcase their sporting talent.
