Police solves theft case in Awantipora

Awantipora, April 3: J&K Police in Awantipora successfully solved a theft case and arrested two accused persons involved in the commission of the crime.

On 02 April 2026, one Nazir Ahmad Bhat son of Gh. Mohd resident of Noorpora lodged a written complaint stating that during the intervening night of 01/02 April 2026, unknown burglars broke into a temporary shed located in his apple orchard at Watsser and stole two motors. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 78/2026 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Awantipora and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, a team of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO PS Awantipora, using modern techniques including CCTV analysis and other technical means, apprehended two accused persons identified as Maqsood Ahmad Lone son of Farooq Ahmad Lone resident of Check Noorpora and Shabir Ahmad Wani son of Ab Rahim Wani resident of Check Noorpora. On their disclosure, the stolen motors were recovered from their possession. Further investigation is underway.

Awantipora, April 3: J&K Police in Awantipora successfully solved a theft case and arrested two accused persons involved in the commission of the crime.
