Shri S.J.M Gillani-IPS Addl. Director General of Police Armed J&K felicitated J&K Police Water Sports Team for winning Gold Medal in 16th International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) World Dragon Boat Racing Championships held at Rayong Pattaya, Thailand from 7th to 13th August, 2023.
HC Zahoor Ahmad and SgCt Farooq Ahmad Bhat (Coach J&K Police Water Sports Team) of J&K Police were among the 88 members who participated in the said Championship. HC Zahoor Ahmad of J&K Police was part of the team in PD Mix (2000 meters) event in which team India Won Gold Medal. Besides, team India also won One Silver Medal in PD12 Mix (1000 meters) and Two Bronze medals in U24, D12 category events.
Shri S.J.M Gillani-IPS ADGP Armed congratulated the Medal winners and wished them success in future endeavours also.
