Current distressing times have uncovered the helplessness of man and the might Of Allah. He has put all the developed nations on its knees by a small invisible virus called covid 19.The super power nations are collapsing in front of this tiny and microscopic particle. It is unveiling the real existence of a human being. As time is progressing, man is confessing his weakness. Pride is a disease that Allah (SWT) hates the most it rots our soul and rusting our hearts .Arrogance is the feature of Iblees(Satan) as Iblees was first one who showed arrogance towards Allah (SWT) . When Allah (SWT) commanded the Satan to prostrate before Adam. He defied and refused to prostrate before Adam. He told Allah (SWT) he was superior to him as he was created him out of fire and Adam out of clay. Allah exiled from out of heaven and called him he would be indeed among the dwellers of hellfire
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “If anyone has an atom’s weight of arrogance in his/her heart will not enter Paradise.” (Tirmidhi)
Islam teaches us to be humble to one another as pride is a characteristic of Satan. Pride makes people disobedient towards the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). When pride finds its way into the hearts, it swiftly reflects in his/her behavior. Hence, a proud person start to think that he or she is better than others, forgetting that we were all created from clay by Allah (SWT) and our finally destiny is grave and we have to answer Allah (SWT) to all our deeds. It leads them toward an eternal pursuit of power and position. Pride pushes people away from the religion of Allah but towards the curse of Allah. The people sinked in this sin his/her gestures seem no longer natural but sudden unusual behavior in the tone of their voices as well.
Arrogant people usually engage themselves in the exaggerated and attention-seeking behavior in the way they walk, talk and look. They always try to be in limelight so that they will gain prestige in front of others.
In the Quran Allah has stated that arrogance is a biggest failure
Do not strut arrogantly about the Earth. You will certainly never split the earth apart nor will you ever rival the mountains in height. (Surat Al-Isra’: 37)
In short, arrogant people gain nothing but trouble, sorrow and unhappiness in this world, they also forgo the hereafter and most essential remain deprived from love of Almighty.
We should all seek refuge in Allah from this dangerous disease of the heart
