Russian Poplus commonly called a Russi Frass.The popular plant scientifically called Poplus alba belonging to the family Saliacaceae . During the month of April May female popular trees produced white cotton which is allergic and carrier of large number of pollen grains of other plants with lot of dust. Pollen is one of the most common triggers of an allergy or hay fever. It is a fine yellowish powder that fertilizes other plants and is carried by the wind, birds, insects or other animals. Pollen is extremely vital to plant growth and its count is particularly highest during spring and summer time which is also considered pollen allergy season. Due to its widespread reach, a pollen allergy is among the most common outdoor allergies in the world. As a matter of fact, one in every seven people in the world suffers from a pollen allergy. Some people have pollen allergies year-round, while others get triggered during certain periods, mostly pollen season. These cottony seeds acts as vector for the dissemination of everything present in the atmosphere during the season such as spores of bacteria, fungi and pollen of other seeds. These pollen grains enter human noses and throats triggering a type of seasonal allergy and the persons who are pollen allergic seem to fall in a hovac. Now a days as seasonal phenomenon. The common symptoms of pollen induced allergy include nasal irritation, running nose and bronchits. The pollen from the popular trees now becomes nuisance. Many children as well old persons from the last few days are constantly sneezing. The lot of cottony produced by the female variety of Russian Frees is responsible for the allergy. The dehiscence from the female specie can also become the fire hazard due to its high inflammable nature. In some persons these pollen triggers skin allergy resulting into the itching and burning sensation. Now doctors are advising everyone to wear mask and avoid direct contact with the pollen grains because prevention is better than cure. In fact these hazards and symptoms have knocked the doors of judiciary to take take judicial review and take strong action in this regard. The courtesy of higher authorities and the state government does not seem to come in the frame. As long as this invasive specie seem to cause angiogenesis of common people resulting in the cause of a new cancer. The importance of poplar trees in terms of environmental cleaning and economical value cannot be underestimated. There is a need for awareness and educating people for growing poplars in balanced ratio of male & female varieties so that in future we may not experience profuse pollen/cotton in air beyond its carrying capacity.
