Almighty Allah, the creator and the sustainer of the universe, the most merciful and the most benevolent, the omnipresent and the omnipotent sent His messenger, our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him, towards the whole humanity and revealed the Holy Quran upon Him with the aim to guide the humanity towards living the life of righteousness and piousness. The life of Prophet Muhammad PBUH in itself is a model for the whole humanity in general and Muslim ummah in particular. It is the horizon of morality, honesty, truthfulness, justice, fraternity, integrity, purity, piousness, righteousness, mercy and what not. Quality of Perfection synchronises with the personality of our beloved prophet. Each and every moment of Prophet’s life teaches us a lesson. That is why even Non Muslims regard Him as the most successful and impactful personality in the world. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not only considered the final prophet of Islam but also a role model for humanity. His life and teachings provide a profound example of moral excellence and leadership that is unparalleled. The holy Prophet holds a unique and revered position in the hearts of not only Muslims but also non Muslims as well all over the world. “ And Raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)” AL Quran. The prophet’s virtues, magnanimity of his character, and his love for mankind were fully recognised even in His lifetime, and His name stands highest among the heroic leaders of mankind. “ We sent thee not, but As a Mercy for all creatures.” Al Quran. There is no question now of race or nation, of a “ chosen people” or the “ seed of Abraham” ; or “the seed of David” ; or of Hindu Arya- varta; of Jew or Gentile, Arab or Ajam( non- Arab), Turk or Taijik, European or Asiatic, white or coloured; Aryan, Semitic, Mongolian, or African; or American, Australian, or Polynesian. To all men and creatures other than men who have any spiritual responsibility, the principles universally apply.

Let me quote some of the teachings (Ahaadees) of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Narrated by Abu Hurrairah (RA), once Prophet Muhammad PBUH while delivering a sermon took oath upon Allah and remarked these words , “ He is not among believers!, He is not among believers!, He is not among believers!” The Suhabas were dumbfounded and could not utter a word and at last one of them dared to know who was that unfortunate person about whom Muhammad PBUH talked. Prophet Muhammad PBUH replied that one whose neighbours are not safe from his behaviour, treatment and actions. This quote teaches us not to indulge in the acts that keep our neighbours unsafe rather we should be kind to others. About the importance of the qualities of honesty and trustworthiness, as narrated by Anas Bin Malik RA, that you can’t find any sermon of Prophet Muhammad PBUH in which He has not mentioned that one who is dishonest sans faith in Allah and one who is not trustworthy or infidel sans deen. As a follower of Islam you can’t be dishonest and untrustworthy or deceitful. Narrated by Abu Hurrairah RA, That Prophet Muhammad PBUH once delivering a sermon said that you can’t find a believer committing adultery or theft or indulging in drinking. He meant to say that a believer can’t be an adulterous person or a thief or a drunkard.
Keeping these Ahaadees in mind as a human in general and a Muslim in particular it is imperative as well as obligatory for us that we must develop the qualities of kindness, empathy, honesty, truthfulness, trustworthiness, piousness and righteousness to prove to be the true followers of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and that is the essence of celebration of Eid I Milaad Un Nabi PBUH and in that sense we fulfil the right of being the followers of Muhammad PBUH.
