
A proud moment for District Pulwama as two young athletes from PMDP Kabaddi Centre have been selected to represent Jammu & Kashmir in the 1st Youth National Kabaddi Championship for Boys & Girls, scheduled to be held at Haridwar from June 28 to July 1, 2025.
Sunaina Gulzar, daughter of Gulzar Ahmad Bhat from Putrigam, has been selected in the U-18 Girls category, while Hamid Javaid, son of Javaid Ahmad Khan from Lassipora, will represent in the U-18 Boys category. Both athletes have earned their place through dedication & strong performances.
The teams from J&K will compete under the banner of the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association (J&KAKA) in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council.
Mentor Gowhar Muzaffar Shah, General Secretary of Pulwama Kabaddi Association Mr. Shahzaib Gull, Sports Promoter Faizan Qayoom & Raman Verma congratulated both athletes & extended best wishes for their performance in the championship & success in their future sporting careers
