Pulwama girls’ Badminton tournament concludes

 The Girls’ Badminton Tournament organised by police in Pulwama under CAP 2025-26, concluded today at the Indoor Stadium near SSP Office Pulwama with great excitement and active participation from the players.

SSP Pulwama Ms. Tanushree-IPS graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest, accompanied by senior officers of the district. While addressing the gathering, SSP Pulwama appreciated the enthusiasm and discipline of the participants, encouraging them to stay engaged in sports for confidence building, physical fitness, and overall personality development. She highlighted the importance of such platforms in empowering young girls.
In a thrilling final match, Govt. Degree College Pulwama emerged as champions, securing a cash prize of ₹7000/- and a trophy, while Solace International School Pulwama finished as runners-up, receiving a cash prize of ₹4000/- and a trophy. Sports Uniforms were also presented to the winners and runners-up. Player of the Match received ₹1000/-, and Player of the Tournament was awarded ₹2000/-, along with trophies.
Police appreciated the sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting youth engagement and sports activities in the district.
