The Indian National Congress and its top leaders are spewing venom against staunch nationalists and patriots .The congress leader and scion of the congress party , Rahul Gandhi has recently made unsavory and controversial statements about the fire brand nationalist and staunch patriot and his statements are unfortunate as these are derogatory and the congress leader should not have made such objectionable statements which have hurt the sentiments of corers of Indians who regard Veer Savarkar in high esteem .The INC and hundreds of its leaders and freedom fighters have fought the battle of the independence and there is no controversy about the role of congress leaders as freedom fighters .But along with the congress many unsung freedom fighters and hero’s have played a great role in the freedom struggle and their contribution in the freedom of the country cannot be denied and exaggerated .One such selfless and nationalist leader was Damooder Veer Savarkar who had laid down his life for the freedom and the country and it is very unfortunate that congress is time and again leveling false allegations on Savarkar by saying that the great leader had bowed before the Biritish and secured his release from the Kalapani Jail. There is not an iota of truth about the derogatory remarks made by congress leader against Sarvarkar .

The fact is that Sarvarkar was the propounder and strong advocate of Akhand Prachand Bharat meaning united ,undivided and mighty India and therefore the remarks of Rahul Gandhi do not hold water and are baseless and are only aimed to malign the untainted image of this great and selfless leader who was fearless and nationalist to the core and therefore making objectionable remarks about this leader is meaningless and unacceptable .It is a fact that congress and its leaders are habitual of maligning the image of the selfless leaders who had worked all through their life for the country and wanted the country to be liberated .
The congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi should desist from making controversial remarks about Savarkar who had worked and sacrificed his precious life for the nation and the countrymen are indebted to Savarkar and other such national heroes who had worked and suffered for the nation .Rahul had branded Savarkar a BJP-RSS mascot at a rally in Washim in Maharashrta few days ago ,inviting backlash from not only the EKnath Shinde –led faction of Shiv Sena but from all the nationalist forces of the country including the BJP .Rahul Gandhi has said that Savarkar betrayed Gandhi ,Nehru and Patel which is wrong and has no takers in the country and these remarks of Rahul have sparked a row .Reiterating freedom fighter Vinak Savarkar had helped British ,former congress president Rahul Gandhi said Savarkar betrayed other freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi ,J,L .Nehru and Sardar Patel .But these allegations and remarks are wrong and derogatory and the congress leader Rahul Gandhi should not give such unsavory remarks about the fire brand patriot ,nationalist ,selfless leader and above all a freedom fighter .
The Shiv Sena (UBT) President UddhaThackeray has said that he does not agree with what congress MP Rahul Gandhi said about Savarkar ,even as he questioned BJP for not conferring the Bharat Ratna on the freedom fighter in the last eight years of being in power. Uddhav further said that we do not agree with what congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said about Savarkar.He said we have immense love and respect for Savarkar .This cannot be wiped off no matter how hard people will try .While comparing the martyrdom of tribal leader Birsa Munda with the other tribal’s. Vinayk Damoudar Savarkar ,Rahul said that while the latter ,who is an icon of BJP-RSS ,wrote letters and mercy petitions to the British ,even offering to work for them ,the congress idolized Munda preferred death and the country ,but refused to be won over by the British and did not give his self respect even after offers of being given money and land .Sanjay Raut Shiv sena MP and spokesman of Uddhav group has said that the remarks of Rahul Gandhi will create cracks in Maha Vikas Aggadhi .He further said Savarkar is a hero for Shiv Sena and they will continue to idolize him .
The MNS has staged a protest against Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra and its chief Raj Thackereay has reminded Rahul that his grandmother and former PM Indira Gandhi had once praised Savarkar .Sensing the trouble and backlash Rahul Gandhi desists from further remarks on Savarkar in final Maharashtra address. Maharashtra deputy CM Fadnavis slammed congress leader over his remarks against Hindutva ideologue’s mercy petition .After sparking a political controversy with his remarks against Hindutva Ideologue V.D.Savarkar ,congress leader Rahul Gandhi refrained from making further comments against Savarkar at his public address in Shegaon in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district. The congress MP from Wayanad instead targeted the ruling BJP and the PM Narendra Modi in a more general way, claiming that the saffron party had spread hatred and fear in every corner of the country. Countering Mr Gandhi Fadnavis posted a letter by Mahatma Gandhi on Twitter while pointing out that Mahatma had used the same sign –off as Savarkar did-I beg to remain,sir ,your most obedient servant –in his letters to British .The BJP leader further shared a letter ,apparently from 1980 wherein Mr Gandhi’s grandmother –former PM Indira Gandhi –reportedly called Savarkar a ‘’ Pillar of the freedom movement. ’’and ‘’remarkable son of India .
’’The NCP leader Sharad Pawar calls Savarkar’s life a ‘’ Saga of supreme sacrifices. ’’The British government had jailed this great nationalist and fire brand patriot in Kalapani Jail in Port Blair for working for the freedom of the country and against the British government. .BY all accounts one can conclude that V.D.Savarkar was a patriot and freedom fighter as well as the selfless leader who fought all through his life for the freedom of the nation and earned wrath from the British government and thus to accuse him of bowing before the foreign power is totally wrong and concoction .The congress and its leaders should learn to respect other freedom fighters who were not congressmen .Therefore Rahul and other leaders of the congress should desist to foment trouble by making discreet and objectionable remarks about Savarkar and other such selfless leaders.
