The Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha (RSS) on Sunday organized the "Salute to Gallantry" event at SKICC.
Uttarakhand Governor, Lieutenant General (LG) Gurmeet Singh, inaugurated the event online, stating that positive changes in the country have always come when saints and soldiers have raised their voices together.
“The presence of Swami Chidanand Saraswati, founder of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, and Guru Dr. Pawan Sinha, founder of Pawan Chintan Dhara Ashram, at the event signals that something even more significant is on the horizon, he said.
The LG said, “Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha is not just an organization but an ideology. Anyone who shares the mindset of soldiers, whether former soldiers or patriotic citizens, can join. In my view, no other organization at the national level has a cleaner, more pristine, and unblemished character as this one of brave soldiers and patriotic citizens. I praise it because true praise is like oxygen, and one should not be stingy in giving oxygen.”
Advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government, Rajan Chhibber, Major General Mohan Lal Aswal, and Jammu & Kashmir Bank Director, R. K. Chhibber, in their speeches, highlighted the unparalleled bravery demonstrated by Indian soldiers in Kashmir, north and south of the Pir Panjal ranges, despite continuous risks, showing more courage than we could ever expect. We salute them. The guests also launched the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha's "Coffee Table Book."
Guru Dr. Pawan Sinha stated that if courage were sold in the market, everyone would buy it, with the rich being the first. It is said that the brave enjoy the pleasures of the earth. Due to courage, small countries often challenge larger and more powerful nations, and the same applies to common people in daily life. I am happy to address the brave soldiers, patriotic citizens, and brave women reflecting Rani Lakshmi Bai today. Courage brings victory. I believe that courage can also be enhanced through military training, which is why military training and service are mandatory in many countries.Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi, Veer Chakra awardee and national president of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, stated that the objectives of this organization are energizing – rekindling patriotism, honoring the families of martyred soldiers, eradicating societal evils, and introducing basic military training in schools.
Each soldier is a living embodiment of discipline, training, duty, and honesty, and if these qualities are imparted to civil society, even symbolically, character building will begin. Starting this work in schools will strengthen the nation's foundation, as the lessons learned in school last a lifetime.
The objective is skill and courage. The chief guest, Swami Chidanand Saraswati Maharaj, founder and CMD of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh, said that training to face difficulties gives birth to courage. Standing with the truth increases courage. Being with brave soldiers also has an induction effect on courage, which is the foundation of character building. Although character building starts at home, participating in events like this instills courage.
Courage is also needed to serve humanity and God. We announce that from today, the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha will be permanently connected with Parmarth Niketan Ashram. The organizers of the "Salute to Gallantry" event, Mohammad Maqbool Malik, the convenor of the Kashmir unit of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, and Rajeev Jolly Khosla, the convenor of the National Capital Region, administered an oath to the people of Kashmir.
