Jammu, Nov 2 : Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Monday called for greater professionalism, transparency and coordination among officials as the Assembly Secretariat resumed functioning in Jammu following the traditional Darbar Move.

The Speaker was accorded a warm welcome by senior officers and staff of the Legislative Assembly Secretariat on the first day of its winter functioning in the capital.
Interacting with officers and employees, Rather appreciated their dedication and commitment towards ensuring the smooth functioning of the Assembly Secretariat.
He emphasised the need to maintain high standards of discipline, professionalism and efficiency while discharging official responsibilities.
The Speaker directed officials to ensure close coordination among various branches of the Secretariat for timely disposal of official business and uninterrupted delivery of services.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining a responsive, transparent and public-oriented approach in the functioning of the institution.
Rather said the Assembly Secretariat must continue to uphold the dignity, traditions and institutional responsibilities of the Legislature while facilitating the smooth conduct of legislative affairs.
Wishing officers and staff a productive winter tenure in Jammu, the Speaker expressed confidence that they would continue to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and efficiency.
