Just scrolling the video from Youtube ,I saw a clip where a youth was being asked if he has to join politics and serve the nation. There is surely an inspiration behind it. Appreciating everyone's hero but The statement he made about a personality was very unacceptable not by me but the anchor himself and in fact whole educated and well aware citizens.

One of the beautiful advice anchor suggested him to read the literature, history and books then keep your view forward .this make me to ponder about two things one Indeed human has such capability that he can make his own judgem ents even if a man from birth to mature age he is in dark room still he will have his judgements what the sources and material objects are available around him like allegory of cave by Plato. And second, being more observant of human beings' minds is shaped by their surroundings the way they are brought up by what they hear, learn and obviously read up. Today's era is marked by the abundant material and sources available. It might be a bit difficult to make choices but we have them. A book surely can have an impact on one's mind may be positive or negative but it will definitely do. That's why the famous saying goes: we should not judge a book by its cover.
Reading a book or any literary piece indeed humans get its own perceptions but over all the base concept lies in the same idea.
Post covid people are more reliant on digital devices and have shifted drastically from offline mode to online where the reels have lost interest in the real world. People have become so impatient they want the whole story to end in a 40 second or 1 minute shot. Viral snippets that are easily available especially in whatsapp universities create prejudices against certain authors or genres.
It is very difficult to understand a few ancient texts as it was unknown for what the texts were written, who the audience was, and what the purpose was. But In the modern era the world has become the open stage where everyone has free access to watch the play to criticise to appreciate and perceive.
Reading enhances critical thinking. For instance, reading our history of India , what else a person can do is to go to the past , get birth again and observe life. Rather he has got abundant material to take, read and have a view. Now it's not possible to read all literature and holy books to hold views yet at least you should be knowing more about the things that you belong to like religion or region, the culture, the place and so on.

If a person has reached to such mental capability to understand the world full of technology why he never pondered why he is where his identity stands there again comes the reading, like First verse of the Quran Revealed was IQRA, Means read but in deeper layer it tells that human intellectual and spiritual journey begins with learning reflection and understanding. Knowledge should be pursued with ethics and high purpose not only for selfish needs.
So Its difficult for us to read Quran in Arabic so there are translations and commentaries available we must not go bias nor blind with the snippets of fake rumours rather than being sensible and responsible person we should go through our own in this world of AI we get a lot of help to understand ourselves and many more things.
Once we start to read any literary piece or any holy book. There are not one commentaries, there are many we can compare and reflect. That's the way knowledge and truth emerges. But to deny without knowledge is neither faith nor intelligence.
This is not an application for religion only but beyond it reading does not only mean to pronounce the words louder and not to understand the meaning deeply.
Reading comes under the Education system and literature. According to various reports and data all over the world, reading enhances emotional regulation, stress management, boosts empathy and obviously one of the reasons in economic development which will automatically lead into economic growth.
Reading habits should be developed from very school days and for parents the books on morals ethics or religion duties which indeed gives the consciousness according to their ages. There should be public as well as private initiatives and awareness programmes, libraries at local level, competition programmes across schools, colleges, universities and so on. Long screen time should be replaced by reading ,other than productive work. Reading is an act of resistance in a world addicted to speed.
