Red Shield Division holds peace meet in Manipur

Imphal, April 10: The Red Shield Division under Spear Corps organised a meeting with civil society organisations (CSOs) and village headmen from Tangkhul and Kuki villages in Manipur to promote peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding in the region.

The meeting was attended by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Red Shield Division, who interacted with community representatives and discussed ways to strengthen harmony and rebuild trust among local communities.
During the interaction, emphasis was laid on fostering peaceful coexistence, improving communication between groups, and encouraging collective efforts to maintain stability in the region. The discussions also focused on addressing local concerns through dialogue and cooperation.
Community leaders from both Tangkhul and Kuki groups shared their perspectives and highlighted the importance of sustained engagement to ensure long-term peace and normalcy in affected areas.
The Army representatives reiterated their commitment to supporting peace-building initiatives and maintaining an environment conducive to reconciliation and development.
The meeting was described as a constructive step towards strengthening civil-military coordination and promoting unity among diverse communities in Manipur.
