
Range Police Headquarters Srinagar in collaboration with Amar Singh College (Cluster University) Srinagar organized a Speech Competition (Seminar) at BCA Hall, Amar Singh College Srinagar today, to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The event was organized under the theme “Sardar Patel’s Policy of National Integration is Still Relevant’ aimed at to engage students in meaningful reflections on the values of unity, discipline, courage and leadership embodied by the ‘Iron Man of India’. Students from various departments of the college participated in the event with great enthusiasm presenting thought provoking speeches in English, Urdu, Hindi & Kashmiri languages.
The speech competition was graced by Prof. (Dr) Aijaz Ahmad Hakak, Principal Amar Singh College Srinagar as the Chief Guest. In his address, the Chief Guest emphasized the enduring relevance of Sardar Patel’s vision, stating Sardar Patel’s contribution to national integration stands unmatched. The event was also graced by Prof. G.M. Nengroo, HoD, Department of Chemistry, Prof. Shahnawaz Muntazir, NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Coordinator, ELC/CP Cell, Department of Political Science, Amar Singh College Srinagar & Shri Peer Zahoor-SP, Staff Officer to DIG CKR Srinagar as Guests of Honour. All the guests delivered remarkable speeches and highlighted Sardar Patel’s vision of integrity, self-determination, administrative acumen and deep commitment towards national unity.
Shri Peer Zahoor (SO to DIG CKR Srinagar) delivered a valuable speech highlighting the unmatched contribution of ‘The Iron Man of India’ who played a crucial role in India's struggle for independence and its subsequent integration as a unified nation. The officer in his remarkable speech emphasized the importance of the event in fostering Police Public relationship and adoption of the ideas of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Notable attendees at the event include DySP Estates Shri Nisar Ahmad, Pvt. Secretary to DIG CKR (DySP) Shri Showkat Ahmad, Shri Mushtaq Ahmad, AAO, Inspector Syed Sajad Ahmad, Inspr. Rifat Jan, Inspr. Imran Bashir, Inspr. Riyaz Qadir and other ranks of RPHQ CKR.
Prize money was distributed among the top performers and certificate of participation was also distributed to all other participants, followed by vote of thanks by the Chair.
