
Srinagar/Jammu, May 20: With the objective of giving a new direction to the promotion of Sanskrit language and social awareness campaigns in the region, today Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust and trust trustee R K CHIBBER paid a courtesy visit to Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Shreya Singhal. On this occasion, Mahant Rohit Shastri presented the Trust’s annual magazine “Kartavya Marg” to her and shared information about the various initiatives being undertaken across the region for the preservation and promotion of the Sanskrit language.
During the interaction, Mahant Rohit Shastri informed that the Trust has been organizing seminars, cultural programs, training workshops, and public awareness campaigns from time to time to connect youth and students with Sanskrit, so that the younger generation remains connected to its cultural heritage.
He also appreciated the anti-drug campaign being run under the leadership of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha. Mahant Rohit Shastri stated that keeping youth away from drug abuse is a collective responsibility of society, and the Trust is also actively participating in this campaign through awareness programs.
He added that the ongoing initiative under the leadership of the Lieutenant Governor is a commendable step towards securing the future of the youth.
Director Shreya Singhal appreciated the social, cultural, and educational efforts of the Trust and extended her best wishes for the successful implementation of its public welfare initiatives. On this occasion, Trust trustee Manju Chibber were also present.
