Minister for Transport, FCS&CA, and Youth Services & Sports, Satish Sharma chaired a high-level review meeting in Jammu to assess and strengthen transport services, road safety, and public outreach. Key directives included streamlining online services, expediting driving license dispatch, and organizing awareness drives on road safety and substance abuse.
He also emphasized field enforcement using advanced tools, driver fitness checks, de-addiction camps, and vehicle safety audits. Later, the Minister reviewed preparations for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 in Hiranagar, Kathua, focusing on transport, health, food, and sanitation arrangements.
Sharma attended the final match of a local hockey tournament as chief guest and announced sports kits for the finalists. He also met public delegations to address their concerns through on-the-spot instructions to officials.
