Jammu, Jan 19: The 14th Annual Raising Day of SDRF Jammu was celebrated on Monday at SDRF 2nd Bn. Headquarters, Gulshan Ground, Jammu. Sh. A.G. Mir, IPS, DGP and Commandant General, HG/CD & SDRF J&K, was the Chief Guest and congratulated all officers and personnel for their exceptional service over the past year.

Highlighting SDRF’s achievements, Sh. Zahid Naseem Manhas, IPS, Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn Jammu, detailed the unit’s role in major rescue operations, including the 2025 Chashoti cloudburst in Kishtwar and flash floods in Jammu region, and outlined future plans for enhanced efficiency. The event featured a live demonstration of high-value equipment and a photo gallery, lauded by the Chief Guest.
Civil administration officers, including Smt. Ansuya Jamwal, Sh. Vishavjeet Singh, Mr. Athar Amin Zargar, Sh. Prem Singh Chib, and Sh. Mohd Muslim Wani, were recognized for their support during disasters, receiving mementos and commendation certificates. Five outstanding SDRF personnel were also awarded for exemplary performance.
The event was coordinated by Sh. Zia-ul-Haq, Dy.SP, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu, who thanked all guests and participants for making the celebration memorable.
