
A second batch of 5,246 pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra amid the religious chants left for the cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas from Bhagwati Nagar-based Yatri Niwas in Jammu on Thursday.
The pilgrims left from the Jammu base camp in a fleet of 268 vehicles.
"The second batch of 5,246 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims this morning left for the cave shrine in Kashmir from Jammu base camp amid tight security arrangements," officials added.
They said 3,253 pilgrims left for Pahalgam and 1993 for Baltal in a fleet of 268 vehicles comprising light and heavy motor vehicles.
