To understand the idea of "Contradiction of man wanting sanitation but promotes in sanitation", One must know the idea of sanitation.

For a lay person, Sanitation is the process of keeping places clean and healthy specially by providing a sewage system and a clean water supply , promotion of hygiene and prevention of disease by maintenance of sanitary conditions .
The Britannica Dictionary defines sanitation as , "The process of keeping places free from dirt , infection diseases etc , by removing dirt , Waste , trash and Garbage , by cleaning Street etc.
The world health organization defines sanitation as , "The procedure for making pure water available , making environmental conditions free from pollutants , providing a proper drainage system and making air free from pollution.
The idea and also the practice of sanitation generates from the mindset of a man. Sanitation is about more than just toilets. Behaviors , facilities and services together provide a hygienic environment .
Insanitation is considered as unclaimed or unhealthy condition that is likely to spread diseases very often, the sewage is dumped in reverse or ponds. These technological deficits promote open defecation.
Man being a social animal lives in society and because of his nature like cleanness. But in today's world it feels like impossible to have even some breath in fresh air. The sanitation programs often fail because of their incongruence with the cultural practices. Also the availability of sanitation infrastructure reflects castes, class , gender , ethnic and regional divides .
Now a question arises about the contradiction. We can see it’s like a man who wants his home and surroundings to be cleaned but disposes his garbage on the road or any other place. Knowing how much ill effect open defecation has _ still a majority of people in rural areas practice it. Pollution of water bodies gives birth to a lot of diseases like Cholera, intestinal warms etc but still we pollute the water bodies with industrial wastes etc . The AQI (air quality index) of every place is so high that it is poisonous to breath in it , also it leads to many airborne disease and even cancer of lungs but still a man who want fresh air is polluting it by burning fossils , smoke from cars and Chloro Fluoro Carbons etc
The man who wants sanitation for himself is so much controlled by technology that he himself does not know how much insanitation he is spreading in the environment, exploiting the resources of our future generation.
Technology , Overpopulation , release of greenhouse gases , global warming , wars , garbage, burning of fossil fuels etc are considered to be the reasons and main factors of insanitation , But the fact is that it is the mindset of a man to think like that . It is a man who always promotes in sanitation.
It is a good saying that, "If every individual sweeps in front of their house , the community will be clean, If the community is clear, our coastal ecosystem shall be clean."
