One-day entrepreneurship skill development program on “mobilization of educated unemployed youth towards entrepreneurship opportunities in sericulture’’ was organized at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Mirgund.

Organized by the Division of Cocoon Crop Production, College of Temperate Sericulture, Mirgund, the programme was sponsored by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

Fifty participants were registered for the programme. Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Dar, Assistant Professor, CoTS, Mirgund welcomed the guests & the participants and deliberated upon the aims and objectives of the programme.

He impressed upon the participants to become job providers instead of job seekers. Prof. I. L. Khan, Head, DCCP gave detailed overview of the programme. Prof. Khan impressed upon the participants to develop sense of self employment. Dr. Farhat Iqbal Qadri and Dr. Masrat Bashir gave detailed presentations regarding different avenues and entrepreneurship opportunities in the field of sericulture.
