
Shalimar, Sep 17: Zarka Naseer Khan, an M.V.Sc. graduate in Veterinary Microbiology from the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), has secured admission to a fully funded PhD programme at Jeonbuk National University, South Korea.
Zarka completed her M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Microbiology from SKUAST-K in July 2026 and joined the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Jeonbuk National University, in September 2026. She will pursue her doctoral research at the Infectious Disease Laboratory under the mentorship of Professor Oem Jae-Ku.
The achievement highlights the academic pathways available to SKUAST-K graduates for pursuing advanced education and research opportunities abroad. Under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai, the University is strengthening its academic and research ecosystem to enhance students’ global mobility and employability through greater access to international education, research and professional opportunities.
