The New Year celebration at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and showcased the university's achievements and future vision. The event saw the release of the IP Suit, a book that features 48 patents developed by the university's faculty and researchers. The latest issue of Agri-talk, the university newsletter was also released on the occasion. The celebration also included the unveiling of the university’s calendar & diary for the year 2025, which symbolizes new beginnings and goals of the institution.
A event also saw launch of several startups incubated by the Sher-e-Kashmir Innovation and Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurship (SKIIE). These startups are a testament to the university's growing focus on fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Along with the launch, products developed by these startups were showcased, reflecting SKUAST-K’s dedication to translating research into practical, market-driven solutions, especially in the field of agriculture.
The event also featured an inspiring address by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, who applauded the efforts of the university's staff for their unwavering dedication and hard work in propelling SKUAST-K to the forefront of agricultural education and innovation. Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai acknowledged the collective contributions of the faculty, researchers, and staff in advancing the university’s mission and enhancing its reputation on a national scale. Additionally, he reiterated the need for making the Union Territory (UT) sustainable in every sphere to ensure a prosperous future for generations to come, reinforcing the vital role of research and technology in this mission.

Achiever of the Year Awards were presented to faculty, staff, and researchers for their outstanding contributions in areas such as innovation, academics, research, startup development.
