SMC Introduces 24x7 Online Waste Bin Booking Service in Srinagar

Srinagar, September 10: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation has launched a 24x7 online waste bin booking service for residents and establishments across the city.

Under the new facility, residents, commercial establishments and event organisers can book SMC waste bins online for the disposal of bulk waste generated during functions, construction activities, cleaning drives and other activities.

The booking fee has been fixed at Rs 2,000 per bin per day.

The initiative is aimed at improving waste collection, reducing littering on roads and strengthening sanitation services across Srinagar. Residents can access the facility through the SMC's online portal without having to visit municipal offices.

Officials said the service forms part of the corporation's efforts to improve the city's waste management system and promote a cleaner and more sustainable Srinagar.
