Itanagar/Imphal, Sep 19: Formations under the Spear Corps continued their community outreach and civic action initiatives across the Northeast, providing healthcare support to residents in remote areas under Operation Sadbhavana.

In Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh, the formation strengthened medical infrastructure at District Hospital, Hayuliang, by providing essential medical equipment to enhance the facility’s healthcare capabilities.
The initiative is aimed at improving access to medical services for people living in remote and difficult-to-reach areas, where healthcare infrastructure often faces logistical and resource constraints.
In Manipur, the Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Tengnoupal, providing medical consultation and treatment to local residents. The camp offered an opportunity for people from surrounding areas to access healthcare services closer to their communities.
The force also extended emergency medical assistance to a civilian in Ukhrul, providing timely support during a medical emergency.
The initiatives form part of the ongoing civic action efforts of the security forces to support communities in frontier and remote areas. Besides strengthening healthcare infrastructure, such programmes seek to address immediate medical needs and improve awareness and access to basic healthcare services.
Through Operation Sadbhavana and other community-oriented initiatives, formations under Spear Corps have continued to undertake welfare activities in areas where difficult terrain and limited connectivity can create challenges in accessing essential services.
The latest interventions in Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur underline the focus on accessible healthcare, community welfare and people-centric outreach across the Northeast.
