Imphal/Aizawl, Oct 12: Reinforcing its commitment to community welfare, healthcare and youth empowerment, formations under Spear Corps conducted a series of outreach initiatives under Operation Sadbhavana and Civic Action Programmes across Manipur and Mizoram.

In Manipur, medical and wellness camps were organised in Bishnupur and Imphal East districts to improve access to healthcare for local residents. The camps provided free specialist consultations, medicines and medical aids, extending essential healthcare support to people in need.
The initiatives aimed to promote health awareness and address the medical requirements of communities, particularly those facing challenges in accessing specialised healthcare services.
As part of its humanitarian outreach, security personnel also interacted with residents of the Child Care Ministry Orphanage in Senapati and distributed essential rations. The initiative sought to support children under the institution's care and provide assistance for their daily needs.
In Thoubal district, necessary items were provided to the Meira Paibi Lup to strengthen community infrastructure and support its activities. The engagement also offered an opportunity for interaction with local representatives and reinforced cooperation between security forces and community organisations.
In Mizoram, sports equipment was distributed among local youth in Zokhawthar and Melbuk villages of Champhai district. The initiative aimed to encourage participation in sports, promote physical fitness and discipline, and provide young people with opportunities to develop their skills.
The distribution also highlighted the role of sports in fostering teamwork, confidence and positive engagement among youth.
These initiatives reflect the broader objectives of Operation Sadbhavana and Civic Action Programmes, which focus on humanitarian assistance, community development and strengthening ties between security forces and local residents.
Through healthcare support, assistance to vulnerable groups and youth-oriented activities, formations under Spear Corps reiterated their commitment to improving community well-being and promoting inclusive development across Manipur and Mizoram.
