Spear Corps extends greetings to people of Nagaland on Mungmung festival

On the vibrant occasion of the Mungmung festival, Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Spear Corps, along with all ranks of the Corps, extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Nagaland.

In a message shared to mark the celebrations, Lt Gen Pendharkar conveyed heartfelt wishes for good luck, happiness, and prosperity to all, while acknowledging the rich cultural heritage and traditional values upheld by the people of Nagaland.
The Mungmung festival, primarily celebrated by the Sangtam Naga tribe, is a symbol of unity, gratitude, and prayers for a bountiful harvest. The festival is marked by traditional songs, dances, rituals, and community feasting, strengthening bonds among the people and fostering a spirit of togetherness.
Spear Corps, which plays a vital role in maintaining peace and fostering civil-military cooperation in the Northeast, has consistently engaged with local communities during such significant cultural occasions.
