Dimapur, Jan 30: The Spearhead Division of Spear Corps recently flagged off a joint expedition to TopoGonov, situated at 11,068 feet in Arunachal Pradesh. The initiative combines adventure with cultural preservation, as participants retrace ancient migration routes in collaboration with local tribal communities.

The expedition aims to document and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh while fostering a deeper understanding of the region’s historical pathways and traditional lifestyles. By engaging closely with tribal elders and communities, the Army is promoting awareness of indigenous knowledge, customs, and practices, ensuring that this heritage is preserved for future generations.
Beyond its cultural significance, the expedition also serves as a platform to strengthen civil–military cooperation, encouraging shared learning, environmental stewardship, and mutual respect between the Army and local populations. Participants reported an enriching experience that blends high-altitude adventure with history, culture, and community engagement, showcasing Arunachal Pradesh’s unique blend of natural beauty and heritage.
