Itanagar , June 25: In a significant move to strengthen collective readiness and frontier security, formations of Spear Corps conducted joint initiatives with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) across Arunachal Pradesh, focusing on enhanced coordination in challenging mountainous terrain.
The Dao Division carried out a comprehensive joint training exercise at Tezu, aimed at improving integrated operational response and interoperability between the Indian Army and ITBP units deployed in high-altitude and rugged conditions. The exercise focused on coordinated movement, communication protocols and joint response mechanisms during border security scenarios.
In a parallel engagement, the Spearhead Division conducted a joint training exercise with ITBP personnel, which culminated in a Joint Coordinating Conference at Likabali Military Station. The conference reviewed training outcomes, discussed operational best practices and explored avenues for further strengthening synergy between the two forces.
Officials said the drills included simulated operational scenarios designed to test coordination, decision-making and rapid response capabilities in terrain-specific conditions typical of the India-China border regions in Arunachal Pradesh.
Such joint exercises, they added, are crucial in enhancing combat readiness, improving inter-agency coordination and ensuring a unified approach to border management in strategically sensitive areas.
The initiatives reflect continued efforts by security forces to maintain high levels of preparedness and reinforce effective border defence mechanisms through sustained cooperation and field-level integration.
