Dimapur, Mar 25: In a major outreach initiative, AssamRifles under SpearCorps organised multiple Multi-Speciality Medical Camps across remote areas of Golakpur in Tripura, and Tuensang, Jalukie, Teichuma, and Phek in Nagaland, providing essential healthcare services and promoting community health.
The camps were designed to offer comprehensive medical support, including general health check-ups, specialist consultations, diagnostic services, and distribution of medicines. Key focus areas included maternal and child health, nutrition, and management of chronic diseases.
Medical teams comprising doctors, paramedics, and support staff ensured that residents from far-flung villages received timely treatment and health guidance, bridging gaps in access to quality healthcare in these border and tribal regions.
Officials highlighted that such initiatives strengthen civil-military cooperation, build trust with local communities, and promote awareness about preventive healthcare practices. Residents expressed appreciation for the timely support, noting that the camps provided access to medical services that would otherwise require long and difficult travel.
The initiative reflects SpearCorps’ commitment to holistic community welfare, combining security duties with efforts to improve health, education, and quality of life in strategically significant northeastern districts.
