
New Delhi, Nov 2:In the lead-up to Kepang La Day on 17 November, Spear Corps organized the Siang Open Mini Marathon at Vibrant Village Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh, celebrating the legacy of the 1962 Battle of Kepang La. The marathon saw enthusiastic participation from over 517 individuals, including Army personnel, ITBP members, and local residents, with categories spanning 2 km and 7 km runs for children, women, and youth.
The scenic Siang Valley served as a picturesque backdrop, inspiring runners as they honored the bravery and sacrifices of the soldiers from the historic battle. Winners were felicitated with medals, certificates, and prizes, recognizing their spirit of participation and unity.
