Imphal, May 6: Selected units of the Spear Corps, deployed in Manipur, were awarded the Governor of Manipur Citation at a ceremony held in Imphal in recognition of their outstanding service in counter-insurgency operations and border management duties.

The honoured formations were acknowledged for their effective conduct of operations in challenging security environments, including successful missions against insurgent groups, recovery of arms and ammunition, and sustained efforts in strengthening border security along the Indo–Myanmar frontier.
Their contributions also included active support in facilitating border fencing activities and maintaining operational coordination in sensitive areas, thereby enhancing overall security and stability in the region.
The citation highlights the continued commitment and professionalism of the armed forces in ensuring peace, security, and territorial integrity in Manipur and adjoining border areas.
