Sigar,, April 1: Spearhead Gunners of the Indian Army’s SpearCorps organized a “Know Your Army” outreach program at Sigar Military Station as part of ProjectNavbharat, aimed at familiarizing students with the roles, responsibilities, and operational capabilities of the armed forces.

During the event, students were given an in-depth look at Army equipment and weaponry, including an interactive display of small arms and other tactical systems. Participants also had the opportunity to experience live firing under strict supervision, gaining hands-on understanding of military training and discipline.
The program included informative sessions on joining the Indian Army, highlighting career opportunities, training pathways, and the values of service, teamwork, and leadership. Army personnel engaged directly with the students, answering queries and inspiring them to consider a career in defense services.
The initiative under ProjectNavbharat is part of a broader effort to strengthen civil-military relations, build awareness among youth about national security, and encourage participation in defense careers. Students and teachers lauded the program, calling it a unique and educational experience that fostered appreciation for the Army’s role in safeguarding the nation.
SpearCorps officials emphasized that such outreach programs aim to instill patriotism, awareness, and confidence among young citizens while providing them exposure to the Army’s operational environment.
