Imphal, May 10: The Spearhead Division under Spear Corps has marked the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor through a series of youth engagement and outreach programmes conducted across educational institutions in Assam, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh.

The commemorative initiative included interactive sessions at Mariani College in Assam, Maharaja Bir Bikram College and Government College of Arts and Craft in Agartala, Tripura, and Senior Secondary School in Jonai, Arunachal Pradesh.
The programmes focused on themes of patriotism, leadership, national security, and career opportunities in the armed forces. Students participated in discussions aimed at enhancing awareness about the role of the armed forces in safeguarding national integrity and encouraging youth to consider careers in defence services.
During the sessions, army representatives shared insights into operational preparedness, discipline, and leadership values that define military service. They also highlighted the importance of civic responsibility and nation-building, particularly among the younger generation.
The outreach initiative saw active participation from students and faculty members, who engaged in dialogue on defence careers and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to interact directly with armed forces personnel.
According to the division, the objective of the programme was to strengthen the bond between the armed forces and civilians while inspiring youth to contribute positively to national development. The initiative also aimed at fostering a sense of pride, discipline, and awareness about national security challenges.
Officials stated that such programmes form part of a broader effort by the Indian Army to connect with educational institutions in remote and border regions, ensuring that students are exposed to both motivational guidance and information about opportunities in the defence sector.
The commemorative events concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment by the Spearhead Division to continue similar outreach activities in the future, strengthening civil-military relations and encouraging youth participation in nation-building efforts.
