The District Youth Services and Sports Office Samba today declared open the Inter Zonal District Level Cricket, Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho Tournament for Under 14 & 17 Boys. The grand event is being held here at the iconic Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium under the aegis of Director General Rajinder Singh Tara.
Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Sharma along with guest of honour ACR, Ajay Bharti, CEO, Kewal Krishan and other distinguished officials graced the event with their presence.
The DC interacted with the participating players, encouraged them wholeheartedly, conducted the toss and motivated them to pursue sports with passion and dedication. A pledge was also taken by all to promote greater participation in games and to abstain from drugs.
The tournament, featuring a wide array of disciplines, offers a remarkable platform for budding athletes to showcase their talent and compete at the grassroots level. It aims not only to enhance physical fitness but also to instill the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
The event is being meticulously supervised by DYSSO Dharmvir Singh and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 279 players from all five zones of District Samba.
